Bad Blogger!!

Couldn't believe it when I looked at my last blog and saw that it has been since last Tuesday that I have blogged!! Crazy!! What has been going on????

Spent the weekend at basketball games. The girls played Friday night against Mabton and the boys played Saturday against Mabton. Both Mabton teams were short and scrappy!! The games were close and exciting...lots of action which made it fun to watch. Kieosha and Brianna rode home with us Friday after the game. We stopped at McDonalds and everyone but Paxton and I got McNuggets. It was a fun evening.

Kieosha had another great game!!

Kala....being Kala!!

Action, Action

Brianna, Lauren and Kala....hello girls!!

Kyle and Bradley spent the weekend in search of coyotes. They entered a contest for hunting coyote...they got 1 the entire weekend. Hopefully they had fun anyways.

Saturday Nick and I went to the boys game and then stayed and watched Riverview lose to Wahluke and watched Highland beat Burbank in 2 overtimes. They were all very good games. On the way home I started feeling really sick. Barely made it to the house before I got sick...and spent the rest of the weekend in bed, sick. I got up Sunday morning and sat on the couch, with my coffee, watching it rain. It was good to get rain. Towards the noon hour my body started not feeling good again, and back to bed it was. Stayed there the rest of the day. Good place to be!!

The wrestlers had a great state tournament this last weekend. Freddy took first place, Nato took second place and a whole bunch of other guys placed....Jacob 5th, Harris 5th, Garrett 6th, Hernan 5th, Marissa 5th, Gerardo 4th. Congratulations everyone!! (Hope I didn't miss anyone, if I did, Sorry!!)

These last couple of days at school have been kinda long. The rain has been nice though. Starting to feel like myself again this afternoon. Came home and got my taxes done and ready to send off for the partnership and got my personal ones e-filed!!! Yeah!! Feels good to have that off my list of "to do's". All for now!!

WONDERFUL 4 day weekend!! and Happy Birthday, Megan!!

Did a whole bunch of not-a-lot!! It was awesome!!!! Today it was beautiful outside so I went out and put a couple of people to work butchering trees. I call it butchering because pruning just doesn't seem like the right word. A very harsh pruning was done. That is alright with me. The trees will be beautiful in a month or two. Kyle's main objective: to make it easier to mow around/under!! Here are the pics:

Here are a couple of pictures of the sky today....nice and blue...and beautiful!

Today is Megan's birthday.....YEAH!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my friend!! I wish you a year of good health, happy days, and lots of great memories. Love you!!

Saturday was the Regional Wrestling Tournament in Connell. I went and helped with the Girls computer. The day went as smooth as I have ever known a tournament at Connell to go. I think everyone was pleased. Most of our wrestlers are going to go to the State Tournament at the Tacoma Dome next week. They did great!! Congratulations everyone!! We are proud of you!!

I spent Sunday and yesterday just doing some crafty things...my cards and tags, oh and the scripture challenges. I got a lot accomplished and it feels good!! Watched a couple of good movies too: "The Secret Life of Bees" and "Nights in Rondathe". They were good. I would recommend them....as chick flicks!! (-:

Tonight is the girls' District Basketball game vs. Naches. Good luck, Eagles!!

Wednesday that feels like a Friday

Getting ready for a big audit this week, next week, the week after that...what a mess! There are a couple of things that I can't locate at the moment...does this make me nervous?? Just a LITTLE!! I guess I do have the excuse that I haven't worked in the office until this year. Don't know how that will go over: probably not well. Stressed? Just a LITTLE!! Nothing I can do about it now.

Worked all day yesterday over at the computer lab on Next Year Scheduling. It was a long day, very informational and not a waste of time. We got the master schedule cloned over for next year and are working at it to make it ready for students. By "us" I mean the counselors, Marcie and Ruben, and myself. It was a fun afternoon with them. They made me order a burrito from the taco van at lunch. It was good, I will admit. Stopped by and picked up a big Pepsi from Evan and had him show us his "Announcer Award". It was awesome. He was excited.

We are now doing about round 3 of the Course Handbook. We got everything back from teachers and are now cross-checking the information with the handbook. We have until next Wednesday to get that complete and ran off to hand out to the students. We (mostly Marcie) are coming up with a form for the kids to take and help pick their electives for next year.

Guess this is it for now. Kinda yuck, kinda wow. Tomorrow is basketball vs. Burbank. It will be a good game.

Catching up!!

SLACKER, I know!!
I spent most of the day doing whatever at my craft table. It was fun. Here are some of my "done" things:

"Wait" scripture ATC card.

"Peace" scripture ATC card.

"Change" scripture ATC card.

This is a tag I worked on. Just goofing off with different things.
This picture holder Kyle made me...we copied something that Auntie has at her house. Kyle is so good!!
I worked on my "Picture A Day 2009" book also. I started it last weekend at the Retreat and then got up to the 31st of January today. I need to get pictures for February copied but will wait until I have a few more before I order them. I guess my goal should be to be only a month behind each month--does THAT make sense????--and then I can order pictures by the month. I get mine from ScrapbookPictures.com in Portland. I really like how they turn out.

Wasn't this morning just BEAUTIFUL!! What a surprise it was to wake up and have it so frosty. The wind blew out of due north for most of the day. I watched the flag across the highway whip away.

Worked on my taxes yesterday. {Should have been working on them today also...slacker!!} It took me most of the afternoon to get things organized and in piles that were a little more under control. Now I have to get the tax software and get busy on figuring things out. My goal is to have them ready to be filed by the 15th of this month. Now that I have actually said it I will have to keep myself accountable.

Steven stopped by with his newly painted car....it looks great. He did a super job on it.

I told Kala I was going to post some more pictures I took of her at school last week. So, better late than never....here you go, Kala!!!

Courtney, I couldn't help putting this one in...you are so cute!!
The girls are working on ordering their supplies for the prom. This process could take awhile!!

This week is going to be a busy one I think. I don't remember all the details but my calendar at work was looking full for this week. Last week a couple of the days were quick. I took Paxton into town to get her passport Tuesday afternoon so that day went by quickly also. I think that most of the scheduling is now DONE and schedules for the schedule book in the office have been run. The report cards went out Wednesday. That was a couple of days worth of getting the tweeks out.

Can't believe it is already February!!!!! Here is a sunrise from one day this last week...amazing!!
The kids came over Friday night, with mom, for a little bit. Uncle Kyle measured them against the door and they got to see how they compare to the "big" kids (Briar, Steven, Brad, Pax, Nick). They were pretty impressed with the whole thing.

Cash is wrestling this year and wanted to give Kyle some moves...they consisted of moving his feet around really fast and punching. Since when did kids' wrestling become so violent?? (-:
Not to be outdone in the 'girly' department, here are Kennedy's newly painted fingernails!!
