NOT enough hours in the day!!

I am trying to get the following 2 things DONE:
  • 1040 tax return
  • FAFSA turned in

2 things.....you'd think that would be easy. Boy are you wrong!! Besides getting all the necessary forms from all the necessary people....school is still like a ZOO instead of a nice calm place of work (ha ha ha!!!), volleyball practice from 6:30 - 9:30, dinner done BEFORE I leave for volleyball practice (people around here make it for themselves?? Ha ha ha!), 24 on Monday night, that thing called sleep...a few hours would be nice!

Stop complaining, I know! I am lucky for a lot more things then bad things. For this, I am sure! These 2 things...they will get done...eventually.

Can You Say CRAZY?????

Ok, so this week is almost gone.....already!! The other part of that is....January is almost gone too!! It's the 21st today! SSSSLLLLLLOOOOWWWW down 2010. You barely got here, why is it that you want to leave at mock speed???

Haiti...I hate what is going on in Haiti these days...earthquakeS. (That's more than 1 earthquake!) All those people, all the devastation, all the unknowns still. Hurts my heart for the people and the tiny island. God bless all of those giving up time and effort to take part in the clean up and also tending to all the wounded and sick people. We are having a fundraiser next week at school. I am anxious to contribute and also be proud of all the community support. Go Connell, Mesa, Basin City and Eltopia!!!

Oh, and I just have to give a plug for the new Massachusette's State Senator Scott Brown. Way to go! When asked by a report how it felt to take over the Kennedy seat in the Senate his response: this seat belongs to the people, not the Kennedys. Not that I am against the Kennedy's, just for the people of the United States.

Kyle is still gone in Yakima working away at Commercial Tire. Hopefully he will be finished this weekend and can come home for good. Miss you!

It is almost Semester break at CHS. Goodness gracious it is chaos. Everyone wanting to change their schedules...can you just be happy please!! Got the report cards done on Skyward. That was a big issue also.

Ready for a nice relaxing weekend...don't know when THAT will be however! This weekend is going to be spent getting my taxes done, or at least as close to being done as I can be without getting all my information from employers and banks and whatnots! Gotta get these done so I can get stuff ready to submit FAFSA applications. OH MY GOODNESS!!! College is a pain with paperwork and it's not even here yet!!

Ok, enough complaining. I'm done. For now.

Volleyball and One Last Hoorah for Football

Paxton's first club volleyball tournament was held this last weekend in the Tri-Cities. They ended up winning 3 matches and losing only 1. What a great experience they had!!! They ended up losing to a Spokane team that has played together for years, so we don't feel bad at all. Here are a few shots:

Congratulations!! It was a fun day to watch volleyball.
Last night was the football sports banquet. It was a long evening but very good! The coaches all said things about each of the players and then they gave away the awards. A good night had by all!!

Here's a shot of the banner that is going up in the gym. Also in the photo is the state tournament trophy, the football team photo, a photo of the Grid Kids Superbowl winners a few years back, of which lots of the varsity players this year were a part of, and a special placque (sitting behind the state trophy) dedicated to the seniors...14-0 Perfect Season Placque, with each of the seniors names and number. It was amazing!!

Here's a picture that Bill Parker took at an early morning film session. Your Opponent is home in bed; 14-0 State Champions are working! Awesome. He gave this picture to Riner.

Here are most of the seniors. Can't believe it is over! What a ride!!!

Lady Monet!

Here's my Lady Monet working on her art project...which is due Friday. Yes, Friday. Get busy Lady Money!! (She is Lady Monet after taking a Lady Rumplestiltskin 2 1/2 hour nap after school. Go figure! Guess she is going to need some energy to finish the project!!)

Happy Birthday Nick!

Nicholas celebrated his 15th birthday yesterday! Where has the time gone??

WOW! 15 years old!
The girls practiced last night at Kennewick High. They definitely looked better last night than they have all last week! First tournament this coming weekend.

Reality again!!

Did I say that Christmas Break was awesome??!!!!!! I did a whole lot of NOTHING and feeling just a little guilty about that...ok, guilt is over!

The first 3 days of January were spent watching The Unit and more of games on my ipod and Suduko. What a way of life....I could get used to it (-:

Today was "back to business" that's for sure! Meri is gone until Friday so Jan is in the office for her. Jan's daughter, Emily, is having her first child so we pushed Jan out of the office so she could go be with her. How exciting!! That left Auntie and me in the office, which was fine, just a bit busy. My money drawer got pushed to the bottom of the "to-do" list, count day was at the top, answering the phone was right up there, and 2 transcript requests from former students was there also. Better busy than not!

Here's a couple shots from Paxton's volleyball practice last night.
