3 Day Break

Nothing great to report on this weekend....just a wonderful relaxing 3-day weekend!!! LOVE it!!

Saturday:

I spent the day loading more music on my ipod and just goofing off with it...loading album artwork, etc. The day just flew by. Saturday night was the Sadie Hawkins Dance at the school. I went and chaperoned/assisted Marrying Sam (aka Mr. Puz) in unlawfully and temporarily marrying couples. It was quite interesting and fun. They seemed to have fun...and that's what counts.

Sunday:

Mom and dad came up in the afternoon and we played a couple of games. Nick, Briar, dad, mom and myself played Phase 10, the dice version. After falling back early on in the game, I made a big comeback and ended up winning. YEAH!! The game "Life" was next with Briar bowing out and Paxton taking his empty chair. She set us up and quickly took over the lead and stayed in the lead....good job, Paxton!

Life

During the breaks in the game Paxton helped dad get numbers into his cell phone. We are thankful for having teenagers so these things get done!!

Watched some football too...way to go Cards!! Gotta want them to take it all!! Curt Warner, ok, seriously, what a guy!! Oh yeah, Pittsburgh is also in the SuperBowl. YUCK!!! GO CARDS!!!!

The cat came into the house and shot into the bathroom where his food is. He ate what he wanted and then goes and gets on top of Kyle and settles down for a little nap. (-:

Paxton and I watched 'Another Cinderella Story' Sunday night. It was a teen movie, that's for sure!!

Monday:

Today I have been working on an ATC Scripture card. I love the passage Psalm 46:10 so I did my own card with the word {still}. Here is how it turned out:

Might finish the afternoon off by making this week's card. The word is {beauty}. Briar went lifting with Shane, Nick is outside playing, Kyle went coyote hunting with Riner and his boys and Paxton is watching tv. She is going to finish her art final later so I will have to post the results of that. She definitely has some artistic talent...thanks to Grandma Bev!!!

Wii

I'm not sure I totally understand this whole "Wii" thing but it certainly LOOKs fun (-:

We stopped at Mattie and Emma's after school to say goodbye (they are leaving to Hawaii for a vacation this weekend) and they drug us downstairs to see the "Wii". Mattie really gets into it!! Emma is a BIT more passive about it but she gets into it. They each have made up a "person" that they play with during their games. Here is Mattie:

Thursday

Finished my Scripture ATC yesterday for the week: Kind. "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you." Ephesians 4:32 This is a good one for me...gotta work on part of this.

Been working on schedules at school these last couple of days. The end of the semester is a coming and schedules for next semester always seem to need tweaking...or so high school students think!! Keeps us busy (-:

Stopped by Pat's tonight after school and had a nice visit. She and Mitzi and Leslie redid the office...it looks awesome!! There is a wall of tribute to Steve and it is great.

on the phone!! He is working on getting quotes for an office in a shop and some other things that he is gathering numbers for. Phone calls after phone calls....

Tuesday

Can't believe tomorrow is Wednesday already. This week has been going by at a fast pace. After school today Auntie and I stopped by grandma and pop's to put a box away for them. We visited just a bit and I took a couple of pictures of their pride and joy:

Grandma was packing up some clothes to give to a shelter.



I finally finished a project I have been working on for quite awhile. It is a book with the cover taken off and the pages folded at various lengths. To the pages I added pictures and things that had to do with the year 2008. [There are a couple of exceptions...a couple of pictures are from 2007, but mainly it is a 2008 album.] It was fun and time consuming because I didn't start 2008 with this in mind, so I didn't prepare for it very well and just used pictures and things I had already around here. I am happy with it. I am taking at least 1 picture everyday this year, or as close to it as possible, and want to do another book, this time in chronological order. We will see how things progress. (-:








Here's a picture of the post office today, taken from inside Auntie's car because it was darn cold outside!! This little guy is so cute. They were having fun on their walk, moving quicker than usual I bet!!

Meet Pete

BUSY day at school today. It went pretty fast actually. Working on our Course Handbook.

After school I went up to my brother's house so I could meet the new puppy...Pete (after the dog on Little Rascals because of the black patch around his eye). All the kids were outside playing baseball and goofing off with the dog. I love this series of pictures with Cash: "Auntie, watch me hit this ball"
